The Night Before Senior Year

‘Twas the night before senior year, when all through my house, not a creature was stirring not even Diva or Milo (my two chihuahuas)…. Well I suppose me not being able to sleep is insomnia, since it is around 1:30am as i’m writing this first post. I decided that I would write about my senior year and share the journey and memories with the world. Tomorrow is the first day and I’m feeling quite bittersweet about it. This year I will finally be moving on from high school, but at the same time I’ll be parting from the school that I’ve called home for about ten years now. I’ve been so blessed by the teachers I’ve had who have not just encouraged me and helped me grow academically, but also spiritually. I’m so glad that I am getting to spend my last year of high school, my senior year, in such an amazing school. For sure there will be tears shed on graduation, just as they were when I found out this summer that the Lord had provided for me to finish my high school days at this wonderful school. I can’t wait for what God has in store for me.. I know that whatever it is, it will be great. I’ve been through a lot in my seventeen years of life, but I know that even though my life is not perfect, God is and only He is in control of everything and He allows things to happen for us to grow and learn to trust Him. After all, we only see a pixel of the picture that God sees and is in control of. I hope to be writing everyday, but if not for sure once a week, just to at least sum up every day, week, and month of senior year. I’d love to end each post with a verse that somewhat goes with what I’m writing about or is just something I’m striving for. My verse for this post can go a lot of ways, but most importantly it goes with how as senior I know that it’s definitely a “leadership” role as the younger grades are most certainly looking up to all of us seniors, and I think that a great verse that applies to all young people specifically in leadership roles/positions is 1 Timothy 4:12: “Let let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and purity.” I think it’s an amazing encouragement that I know the Lord is always eager for us to hear His truths to override the enemy’s lies. Until the next typing session,
